„Der Blinde Fleck schrieb ich (…), vielleicht ist es uns aufgegeben, den blinden Fleck, der anscheinend im Zentrum unseres Bewusstseins sitzt und deshalb von uns nicht bemerkt werden kann, allmählich von den Rändern her zu verkleinern. So dass wir etwas mehr Raum gewinnen, der uns sichtbar wird. Benennbar wird. Aber, schrieb ich, wollen wir das überhaupt. Können wir das überhaupt wollen. Ist es nicht zu gefährlich. Zu schmerzhaft.“

Blind Spots bring to mind the conditions of our perception, pointing out their limits – every human field of vision has a blind spot.
The five memorial stations „Blind Spots“ apply this insight from anatomy in an experimental way to the memory: every articulated remembrance puts innumerable non-articulated memories in the shade. On the other hand every individual memory has to be narrowed down in order to be an understandable narrative and to be fed into a collective memory.
